United Mines (OTCBB:UNMN): MicroCap Gold Stock
Gold is exploding and most professional traders have the Gold(NYSE:GLD) ETF somewhere in their portfolio, and if they don't they get fired for missing the recent 22% move. I think it is difficult to buy Gold at these levels (actually I would short the GLD here) and have been writing about Gold having a technical pattern calling for a pullback.
But there is another part of Gold investing taking place in the MicroCap names who are real companies with real management and real revenue who are filing, and many will avoid the pullback in the metal itself.
I get many calls from investors telling me to look at this stock, or review this name, all day, every day, and I respect fewer of those than I care to admit, but when I get calls from guys on the cap raise side who give me a heads up I usually listen, specifically guys who are still in the business who I respect. I take the time to listen because it means the investor community is listening....and funding follows good companies who have hidden value.

THE AJAX MINE GROUP — is a former commercial producer of gold, silver, lead and copper. Several mines located within this tract began producing in the 1800s with the last closing due to WWII in 1941. The mineralization is argentiferous and auriferous galena with other sulfides occurring in irregular quartz-fissure veins cutting metamorphosed, Cretaceous, sedimentary formations. The mineralization occupies contacts between quartzite and limestone. Commonly the mineralized vein structures are from 3 feet to 8 feet in width and contain ore averaging 0.6 opt/Au, 15 opt/Ag, 0.7% Cu, and 4% Pb. Favorable conditions exist for the discovery of economic deposits through the use of core and reverse circulation drilling to intercept the on strike and down dip mineralization. A drilling program will also be employed to determine the grades of mineralization in the wall rock between the vein structures.
THE BIG THREE MINE GROUP — is located in southern, Arizona. The main mineralized zone was discovered in 1868. The gold mineralization occupies a strong shear zone that extends for over one mile. Several historic mines are located on this structure including the adjacent Yellow Jacket and Barnett Mines. Chip sample assays of vein material commonly return values of 0.2 to 1.5 opt/Au and 0.5 to 6 opt/Ag. This portion of the shear structure has very favorable conditions for the discovery of economic gold mineralization. This project is north east and adjacent to the Yellow Jacket deposit where a proven ore-body containing over 250,000 ounces Au with the potential for over 700,000 ounces Au was discovered in 2005 and lies1.5 miles south of the Ajax Mine Group.
THE OSTRICH MINE GROUP — is reportedly the lost Tumacacori Mine documented in historical accounts sent to Spain. If you're not familiar with this legendary treasure,

The mine dumps left from earlier operations in the 1900s have an average grade of .24 opt/Au and .59 opt/Au and 1.5 opt/Ag. Assays taken across 12 feet of the main vein structure returned values of up to 1.5 opt/Au. About 80 feet to the north-east a parallel vein system gave returns of up to 6 opt/Au. This project is located south-west and adjacent to the Yellow Jacket deposit where a proven ore-body containing over 250,000 ounces Au with the potential for over 700,000 ounces Au was discovered in 2005. The Ostrich lies 3/4 mile south-east of the Big Three Mine Group. Historic documented measurements taken when the underground workings were still open identified known ore reserves of 46,000 to 50,000 tons with a grade of 1.0 opt/Au to 1.5 opt/Au. According to reports this deposit was un-worked at the time the mine was last closed. Upon examination of the surface exposures within the mineralized structure, this project is expected to develop a larger proven reserve than the adjacent Yellow Jacket Mine as the Yellow Jacket and Big Three vein structures merge upon entering the Ostrich project area.
